Let's Play Catch Up!

Hello all Bikers!

It's been a while since I have updated and I apologize for that! We took a vacation to the Outer Banks In July. I have to tell you if you get a change to take a week and go, please do so! It was the most wonderful experience. Of course, we rode the bikes there and back (for over 1580 miles round trip). We visited the light houses, relaxed on the beach, toured the aquarium, visited the Wright Brothers Monument, and rode just about the whole island among other sites. I would have loved to had more time to stay. And the food, well lets say it was some of the best I have ever tasted. I can't wait until we can go again. There is still so much I wanted to do but like all vacations it had to end.

We had our Scrabble Run in August. It was a great day for riding. We left from Highland Park in five different groups. But some how we all arrived back within minutes of each other. Which made for an interesting game. There was seventeen players. There were lots of prizes awarded. We got to meet new riders and as always we are thankful. Thank you to all who participated!! All of the proceeds were donated to Amy's House.

Last month we rode to Meadows of Dan, Virgina to a motorcycle camp ground. Again we had a wonderful time! This was the first motorcycle camp ground that I have ever experienced, but it won't be the last! It was so relaxing to sit around the bonfire and meet other riders from all different places. This is also another experience that I would recommend that everyone who loves the outdoors try.

This Sunday we had our Parkway Picnic ride. Thanks to Raymond and Tina who toted all our goodies in their trailer. We stopped at one of the parks and ate then rode some more. It was wonderful to have such good friends and company on such a beautiful ride.

We are preparing for the Business Meeting November 5th. This is for the By-Laws. As always ride safe, ride often, and It's not what you Ride - It's that you Ride!!

See ya there!
