This past Sunday was a beautiful day, as you know. We took off in search of a new camp ground. We were looking for High Country Motorcycle Campground. In my opinion, this is a nice place to camp. It is 14 acres of North Carolina mountains, so there is plenty of room to pitch your tent beside the creek. And for those who do not like tent camping they also have a bunkhouse that sleeps twelve, remember to bring your ear plugs just in case your room mates snore. Or you may be able to rent the cabin if it's not already booked. High Country has a bath house with washer and dryer. They have a pavilion that can seat 200. I can't wait until they open in mid-April.
After checking out the facilities, we decided to eat at Applebee's in Lenoir. After a good meal it was time to head home.
We rode about 180 miles round trip. It was a great relaxing ride through the back roads. I look forward to many more rides this year.

Welcome 2009!
Good evening everyone!
I hope everyone is as excited about riding this year as we are. We are planning rides and other festivities for the new year. While still in the planning stages, if you would like to have your input included (as we listen to any and all ideas) please be sure to attend the meeting on February 21, 2009 at 2:00pm Horsefeathers Roadhouse. This is the only mandatory meeting for members of the year. As usual, everyone is welcome to attend all meetings!
Hopefully we can plan weekend trips along with our charity rides. If we're lucky maybe even a overnight trip. I am looking forward to traveling again to the North Carolina Outer Banks. I can't wait until it warms up a little so we can go camping again. And of course, I'm already excited about the Second Annual Scavenger Hunt Charity Ride for Hospice.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
